Performing Arts in Pueblo County - Theatre
The Impossible Players have been local phenomenon since the early 1960’s. They started out modestly, getting together to read plays, but soon realized that they wanted more: a stage and an audience. Everyone said that their dream was impossible, but by 1966 they had space above a store on South Main Street in Downtown Pueblo and started it all with a production of “My Three Angels”.
A cozy little theater tucked away in Downtown Pueblo, the Runyon Theater has been home to delighting productions and wonderful community programs for over a decade. The theater hosts a variety of performance throughout the year, including drama, dance, and musical presentations from around the country.
The Steel City Theatre Company has captured the hearts of Pueblo County for several years by presenting original and classic plays in a new light that audiences young and old can enjoy. They perform around Pueblo County and present many of their performances at local high schools, with the goal of sharing the joy of theatre with younger generations.
