Pueblo used to sit right along the Mexican-American border and El Pueblo was its original trading fort. This museum captures the spirit of fandangos and multicultural living that marked this moment in Pueblo history, before it was destroyed by a Christmas Day Massacre. El Pueblo History Museum also hosts regular performances of Song of Pueblo, an oratorio written by famed Daniel Valdez, to musically narrate the history of Pueblo.
